Brazilian President Lula da Silva named a condition for a trip to Russia or Ukraine. According to him, the trip will be possible only when conditions are created to achieve peace between the two countries. The politician's words are quoted by TASS.
According to Silva, first of all, it is necessary to create a negotiating group of representatives of several countries to discuss a peaceful settlement.
"Brazil wants to find a way to establish peace. It is better to look for a way out at the negotiating table than on the battlefield," the Brazilian leader said.
At the same time, it is known that his adviser will still meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Kiev.
Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin handed his Brazilian counterpart Luis Inacio Lula da Silva a letter inviting him to come to Russia for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held from June 14 to 17, 2023 in St. Petersburg.
