As part of the decision on mass expulsion, the German authorities expelled more than 20 Russian diplomats from the country. The number of expelled employees of diplomatic missions reveals the "Rise" with reference to a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The interlocutor of the publication said that the diplomats had already left Berlin. "Now the Germans will leave Russia," the diplomatic source said.
Earlier, Moscow promised to mirror the mass expulsion of Russian diplomats from Berlin. The Foreign Ministry said that in response to Berlin's hostile decisions, Russia will also expel German diplomats and significantly limit the maximum number of employees of German diplomatic missions in the country.

The European Union (EU) is going to discuss the introduction of a ban on the transit of a number of goods through Russia as part of the 11th package of sanctions. Bloomberg writes about this.
According to the agency, possible transit restrictions will apply to numerous high-tech goods and some others, including some types of vehicles. It is noted that, according to sources familiar with the proposals, transit through Russia on the way to third countries will not be prohibited for all goods.
The new restrictions may become part of a new package of anti-Russian sanctions that the European Commission is preparing to adopt. It is expected that the set of measures will also include about 30 new positions, as well as additional restrictions for several firms and organizations.
Bloomberg also wrote that Poland, Estonia and Lithuania had previously insisted that the EU impose a ban on the transit through Russia of goods and technologies that can be used in the Russian military, aviation and space industries, as well as goods that could contribute to the development of Russian industry.
On April 14, European Commissioner for Financial Stability Mairead McGuinness said that the European Union is preparing to introduce the 11th package of anti-Russian sanctions.
