Former US President Donald Trump has promised to resolve the conflict in Ukraine immediately if he wins the 2024 elections. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
Speaking to his supporters, the politician clarified that he would deal with this issue even before entering the White House after the inauguration.
Earlier, Trump promised to immediately call Russian and Ukrainian leaders Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky if elected head of the American state. "I guarantee that I will be able to resolve this issue… We will conclude a deal within 24 hours," the politician said at the time.
In April, Trump said that in conversations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, he felt the politician's love for Ukraine. "I saw that he loves her and considers her a part of Russia. I told him, 'This won't happen while I'm president,'" the former head of the White House said.

The European Union (EU) is going to discuss the introduction of a ban on the transit of a number of goods through Russia as part of the 11th package of sanctions. Bloomberg writes about this.
According to the agency, possible transit restrictions will apply to numerous high-tech goods and some others, including some types of vehicles. It is noted that, according to sources familiar with the proposals, transit through Russia on the way to third countries will not be prohibited for all goods.
The new restrictions may become part of a new package of anti-Russian sanctions that the European Commission is preparing to adopt. It is expected that the set of measures will also include about 30 new positions, as well as additional restrictions for several firms and organizations.
Bloomberg also wrote that Poland, Estonia and Lithuania had previously insisted that the EU impose a ban on the transit through Russia of goods and technologies that can be used in the Russian military, aviation and space industries, as well as goods that could contribute to the development of Russian industry.
On April 14, European Commissioner for Financial Stability Mairead McGuinness said that the European Union is preparing to introduce the 11th package of anti-Russian sanctions.
