Поставка Киеву Британией снарядов с обедненным ураном приведет к эскалации конфликта на Украине. Об этом заявил глава МИД России Сергей Лавров, передает РИА Новости.
«Это шаг к дальнейшему наращиванию эскалации, причем серьезному наращиванию, качественному наращиванию эскалации», — подчеркнул дипломат.
Ранее представитель британского Минобороны заявил, что слова властей России о начале применения Западом оружия с ядерным компонентом являются намеренной дезинформацией. В министерстве отметили, что британская армия использует подобные боеприпасы десятилетиями. «Это стандартный компонент, он не имеет никакого отношения к ядерному оружию или потенциалу», — указали в министерстве.
Замглавы Минобороны Британии Аннабель Голди заявила, что Лондон в рамках пакета военной помощи передаст Украине партию снарядов с обедненным ураном. «Наряду с предоставлением роты танков Challenger 2 Украине мы будем поставлять боеприпасы, в том числе бронебойные снаряды, которые содержат обедненный уран», — говорится в сообщении.
Такие боеприпасы применялись в ходе бомбардировок Югославии, операции «Буря в пустыне» и американского вторжения в Ирак в 2003 году.

Китай может начать поставлять России оружие только в случае, если США предпримут какие-то необдуманные шаги в отношении Тайваня. Такое условие для вступления Китая в украинский конфликт назвал профессор РАН и руководитель Центра азиатско-тихоокеанских исследований ИМЭМО имени Е.М. Примакова РАН Александр Ломанов в интервью «Ленте.ру».
«Если США каким-то очень резким, очень болезненным образом нарушат красные линии Китая, то это создаст для Китая большой соблазн сделать ответный шаг — точно так же "подвинуть" красные линии американцев», — пояснил китаист. В то же время Ломанов назвал маловероятным подобное развитие событие в ближайшие месяцы или даже год. Более того, специалист предположил, что Китай может ответить на действия Соединенных Штатов в Азиатско-Тихоокеанском регионе симметрично, то есть во все том же Азиатско-Тихоокеанском регионе, а не в Европе.
Ранее Генеральный секретарь НАТО Йенс Столтенберг признал, что у альянса нет доказательств поставок Китаем летального оружия в Россию. В то же время он заявил, что Москва якобы обратилась к Пекину за соответствующей помощью, но эта инициатива находится на стадии рассмотрения. Помощник президента США по национальной безопасности Джейк Салливан предостерег Китай от подобного шага, предупредив, что поставки оружия России станут «большой ошибкой». При этом американский чиновник также признал отсутствие у Вашингтона сведений, указывающих на то, что Китай передает России вооружения для их дальнейшего применения в ходе боевых действий на Украине.

В Чите суд арестовал Руслана Н., зарубившего топором бывшего футболиста, тренера местного футбольного клуба Виктора Егорова. Об этом в среду, 22 марта, сообщает Telegram-канал Babr Mash.
По данным канала, фигурант будет находиться в СИЗО два месяца.
Ранее стало известно, что Егорова обнаружили убитым в садоводческом товариществе. 20 марта во время застолья между 62-летним Егоровым и его знакомым возник конфликт, в ходе которого 35-летний мужчина несколько раз ударил тренера топором. От полученных ранений потерпевший скончался на месте. Во время допроса нападавший дал признательные показания.
Егоров пришел в профессиональный футбол в 24 года, играл за молодежную команду «Локомотив», а также за «Связист», «Луч», «Ангару» и «Водник», а затем вернулся в Читу. С 1994 года он работал тренером.

Former US President Donald Trump has promised to resolve the conflict in Ukraine immediately if he wins the 2024 elections. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
Speaking to his supporters, the politician clarified that he would deal with this issue even before entering the White House after the inauguration.
Earlier, Trump promised to immediately call Russian and Ukrainian leaders Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky if elected head of the American state. "I guarantee that I will be able to resolve this issue… We will conclude a deal within 24 hours," the politician said at the time.

The conflict in Ukraine can be resolved only through direct negotiations between Kiev and Moscow. This was stated by Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto in an interview with La Stampa.
According to him, Italy guarantees Ukraine the right to self-defense and at the same time tries to achieve a peaceful settlement. "The only thing we can try to do is not to end the war, but to stop the clash and try to seat two interlocutors at the same table who are not talking to each other," he stressed.
