If the citizens' protest is suppressed, Georgia risks losing a significant portion of European Union (EU) support, warned MEP Siegfried Mureshan. He said this on the air of the Romanian TV channel Digi 24.

However, the MEP expressed hope that this would not be necessary. "I hope that this will not happen, because we also want to have safe, stable and prosperous states in our neighborhood. But if the impact of undemocratic tendencies in Georgia is noticeable, the EU will be forced to reduce its support," he said.

Mureshan noted that last year Georgia already lagged behind Moldova and Ukraine, but today Tbilisi's problems have become even more noticeable. According to him, the law "On Transparency of Foreign Influence" is aimed at intimidating civil society, which is contrary to European standards.

U.S. intelligence has called Russia's nuclear arsenal the most powerful in the world. This assessment is given in the public part of a report by U.S. intelligence agencies assessing "global threats," which is published on the website of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Avril Haines.

The document notes that Russia's nuclear arsenal continues to improve, expanding its line of non-strategic strike systems. "Russia has the largest and most powerful stockpile of nuclear weapons and continues to expand and modernize its nuclear weapons capabilities," the U.S. agency noted.

The U.S. National Intelligence Estimate also claims that Moscow continues to develop long-range missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons designed to overcome U.S. missile defense systems.

Beijing will continue to cooperate with Moscow on the economy, diplomacy and defense despite pressure from the West. The U.S. National Intelligence Estimate reported this in its annual World Threats report, TASS reported.

It noted that despite the discontent of some countries over the special operation in Ukraine, China "will maintain its diplomatic, defense, economic and technological cooperation with Russia to continue trying to challenge the United States."
